CVD diamond stands for diamond made using Chemical Vapour Deposition, sometimes referred to as low pressure synthetic diamond. CVD diamond is produced as a polycrystalline wafer.
Many properties of CVD diamond are identical to those of natural diamond. In the production process some properties are optimised to meet requirements of specific applications.
